EN 12845:2015 + A1:2019
Fixed firefighting systems, automatic sprinkler systems. Governs hazard classification, design density, water supply duration and installation.
Compliance
We prepare the certification alongside the design, not after it. That is what lets a system pass first time.

Commercial and industrial
Fixed firefighting systems, automatic sprinkler systems. Governs hazard classification, design density, water supply duration and installation.
Residential and domestic
Fire sprinkler systems for domestic and residential occupancies. Covers category classification, coverage areas and supply requirements.
Ireland — statutory
Technical Guidance Document B, 2024 (Fire Safety). Sets the guidance against which fire safety design is assessed for building control in Ireland.
Most projects appoint three firms. Each one certifies its own scope, and the gaps between them belong to nobody.
| Requirement | USING MULTIPLE SUB-CONTRACTORS | USING EL3MENT |
|---|---|---|
| Water Flow Guarantee | Split between the civil and mechanical contractors | Held under a single contract |
| Hydraulic Calculations | Third-party consultant verification required | Calculated and signed off in-house |
| Design Certification | Issued after the fact, against someone else's design | Planned from the first design decision |
| Professional Indemnity | Multiple policies with overlapping gaps | One point of responsibility |
Every project closes with the same documentation set, assembled as the work proceeds rather than reconstructed at hand-over.

A signed design certificate stating the standard, the hazard class and the design density the system is engineered to.
Full calculations for the most hydraulically remote area, with pipe sizing, friction losses and the resulting pressure at the head.
Recorded mains test results, or pump and tank specifications, evidencing that the supply meets the design duration.
Drawings and technical justification in the format the assessing authority expects, prepared for submission.
Flow and pressure tests at commissioning, recorded against the design figures rather than against a generic checklist.
One file containing the certification, calculations, as-installed drawings and the maintenance schedule.
The earlier we test the water supply and specifications, the fewer changes the certification forces later.
