Water Supply

We establish what the building can deliver before anything is specified. Mains testing, tank and pump sizing, and a guaranteed flow rate and pressure at every sprinkler head, including the most hydraulically remote one.

Fire Safety Compliance

Design certification and sign-off to EN 12845, BS 9251 and the applicable Technical Guidance Documents. We prepare the submission and carry it through to hand-over.

Maintenance of Water & Sprinkler Systems

Element Engineering maintains the systems we design. Our background spans fire suppression, internal water services and rainwater management, so the same team that sizes your supply and certifies your installation also keeps it operational, compliant and ready for the life of the building.

Sprinkler System Servicing

Annual inspection and servicing to BS 9251:2021 and BS EN 12845: alarm and valve checks, head and pipework inspection, flow testing and documented service records that keep your certification valid.

Water Storage & Tank Maintenance

Inspection, cleaning and disinfection of dedicated fire water storage tanks, level and temperature monitoring, and Legionella risk control in line with HSG274 and ACoP L8.

Pump Sets & Flow Verification

Routine pump run tests, pressure and flow verification against the design duty, and battery and control panel checks so the supply performs the moment the system is called on.

Rainwater & Drainage Upkeep

Maintenance of siphonic and gravity rainwater systems, gutters, outlets and drainage infrastructure, protecting the wider building envelope our systems are designed around.

How the System Fits the Building

At Element Engineering, water supply, hydraulic design and compliance certification are handled in-house rather than passed between separate firms. We coordinate directly with architects, MEP engineers, structural consultants and local authorities to design fire suppression systems that fit the building's constraints from day one.

Our team combines hands-on installation experience with design and certification knowledge. That practical background means our drawings and calculations are produced with buildability in mind, helping approvals move faster and reducing surprises on site.

We use detailed hydraulic calculations and coordinated 2D and 3D layouts to show exactly how pipework, water storage and sprinklers integrate with the structure and finishes. The result is a system that is certifiable, buildable and maintainable for the full life of the building.
